The Journal
What ages is this journal for?
Designed for girls ages 5 to 10. The prompts scale: early pages start with simple drawing prompts a 5-year-old can do, later pages move into deeper writing prompts a 9 or 10-year-old can answer. The book grows with her.
What is inside?
60+ prompts across five sections. Drawing prompts. Writing prompts (dad-writes pages and daughter-writes pages). Seasonal polaroid memory pages across spring, summer, autumn, and winter. Friendship reflection pages where she lists her best friends and what she values. Growth-mindset and identity pages where she reflects on what makes her unique. Plus a finished-on signature spread at the end.
How often are we supposed to use it?
No rules. Some dads do one prompt a week as a Sunday-morning ritual. Some do a prompt a day. Some grab the journal on long road trips and fill in five pages in one sitting. The journal is built for whatever pace fits your family. Most dads finish it in 12 to 18 months.
What if my daughter does not want to write yet?
Many of the prompts are drawing-only or fill-in-the-photo prompts that work for pre-writers. Younger girls can dictate their answers and the dad writes them in. The journal is designed to work from the moment she can hold a crayon.
Is this really developed by an actual author?
Yes. The content was developed by a journaling author with two daughters of her own and reviewed by parents and educators before publication. Strulva is an independent retailer. We are not Sourcebooks, Workman, or any established children's publisher.
What is the physical book like?

What is your return policy?
60-Day Bonded-Or-Money-Back Guarantee. Fill in the journal with your daughter for at least 15 pages within 60 days. If you do not feel a deeper bond, email support@strulva.com for a full refund. Donate the journal to a local school library or family shelter — no return shipping required.
